THE BEST WAFFLE RECIPES

So you enjoy cooking and the incredible taste of waffles? Have you recently purchased a new waffle maker and want to put it to work? Here are some waffle recipes and information to get you started!

This particular breakfast item was introduced to the United States from Holland, somewhere around 1920. Essentially they began as crispy and thin wafers that resembled more of a pancake. With invention of different culinary methods, they now come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. However, they all share one important trait: deliciousness! Can we say thank you to the pilgrims for bringing these goodies over to us?

If you haven't already, your first step is to go out and find the right waffle-maker machine for you. Any kind of cookware retailer should have plenty to choose from, as many different varieties exist. There are some that make large and thin cakes, while others produce bulkier results that are capable of holding stuffing like fruit or syrup. Of course, then you have all the machines that fall somewhere in between those two categories. You then need to look for non-stick surfaces, an internal thermostat, and even a light signal in your potential purchase. Once you find the perfect choice, check the cost and hopefully take it home!

There are basic ingredients to virtually every wafer you will ever make. Luckily, they all are such that most everyone keeps them around the house most of the time. You will need all-purpose flour and your favorite type of sugar. Yeast, baking powder, butter, and oil will also be included. Don't forget a dash of salt. Finally, no hot cake can be completed without milk and eggs.

The first recipe is for Belgian-waffle called a liege. Make sure all your basic components are available and within reach, adding also vanilla extract to this one.

Mix yeast, sugar, and salt into one third of a cup of lukewarm water.

Let it sit for fifteen minutes to develop.

In another bowl, put in your flour, leaving a hole in the middle.

Add in the developed yeast, eggs, and melted butter then add in the sugar.

Give it a few more minutes to rest while the cooker heats up.

Pour the mixture in and bake for three to five minutes. Enjoy!

Another great idea is adding extra toppings. Go ahead and prepare your favorite waffles, just like you would normally. This time, though, be a little creative. Mash some banana and nuts into your mixtures. Or throw in a few of the berries you find most palatable. You could also be surprised how wonderful peaches and mangoes work as well!

Are your taste buds just dying of excitement yet? That's alright because all of these delectable waffle recipes are within your grasp! Run to the kitchen and break it that new waffle-maker!
