What is the best temperature to keep your refrigerator and freezer on. I am having problems with my refrigerator freezing items. I have a Kenmore ELITE Model 7762.

My freezer in my self-defrosting fridge filled with ice, while my fridge stopped cooling food and I threw out $150 worth of food. So, the repair guy comes and says I just have to defrost it by unplugging it for 4 hours. He only charged me $130 for the information. Does anyone else find that amusing or strange cause I am wondering why Kenmore made me pay more for the self-defrosting function. Oh, by the way the reasoning according to the technician was that I don't have air conditioning in my house. I asked well why didn't it happen during the last 2 summers.

try to vacuum the back, the back collects lint and then the items in the fridge start to freeze, if you clean the back at least once a year then that should solve the problem
