New world dishwasher fdw600w.

My dishwasher isn't taking in much water, only a small amount but nowhere near enough to wash anything.

I have tried to locate the float which should be inside the dishwasher but I don't seem to have one.
The dishwasher will run through a cycle, element heating up etc but just No Water.
The element has been checked and is fine and the thermostat replaced (the old one was faulty) yet I am at a loose end.
The dishwasher is only 14 months old and just out of warranty.
It is a new world fdw600w.

please help, buying a new one after only a year ould be heart, not to mention wallet breaking.
