maytag performa dishwasher portable power cord jammed

The power cord on the back of our portable dishwasher is stuck. It only pulls out about 3 inches. I removed the wooden top and took a look inside. The cord runs along the side of the machine and is wedged in where I cant see, or fit my hand. Any suggestions?
