Maytag Appliance Repair - The washing-machine will not advance or advances slowly through the wash program

1. The water temperature is slow at coming up to the set point. This is due to faulty heater thermostats.

2. The water filling rate is slow due to blocked inlet water filters. The drain valve also may be partially open causing water leakage. The solenoid valve often has a humming noise when in this condition

3. The water drain rate between cycle steps is slow due to slow draining. This may be due to the valve being jammed with debris.

4. The water pump may be defective or be jammed with debris or clothing items (most popular items are socks, pantihose and fine underwear)

5. The cycle timer or program circuit board may be faulty

Maytag Repair - The washing-machine will not spin

1. If you can hear the motor turning then the drive belt is slipping or broken, or where fitted clutch and couplings maybe broken. In some cases the pulley may be seized up. Where a motor AC variable speed drive is installed this may be faulty.

2. The drive motor will not shift to high speed or the motor windings may have a defect.

3. Some machines have a clutch and this may be worn. Where installed the transmission may be defective

4. The cycle timer or program circuit board may be faulty
