If your unit is a new generation unit check the error codes and look it up in the manual for clarification before you call the service man.

The oven does not come on at all

1. Always check that the power is on. The unit power indicator light will show this. If a fuse or breaker has gone there is probably an element failure.

2. Check that the automatic cooking or self clean timer/clock and control function is not incorrectly set, this is very common. It should be set in the mode

3. Check that the or selector knob is correctly set

4. Check that the element is not blown.

5. The oven thermostat is faulty

The oven heats but is either too high or too low

One stove heating element do not work

1. The cooking element may have failed. I some cases you might notice a blister on the black element surface.

2. The element socket connection or plug-in receptacle is burnt and making a poor contact. These may be pitted and burnt. In some cases the wire termination might also be burnt off.

3. The element control and thermostat may be faulty.
