Kenmore Series 90 Dryer

I just had the timer replaced because I could hear it clicking even when it was in an off position and it would run all the way around the dial if left unattended when the door was closed.
It is still doing the same thing so changing the timer did not fix the problem. It also starts immediately when you close the door. You don't have to push the start button.
I am going to have to unplug it or leave the door open and I don't want to burn the light out so I guess I will unplug it.
I really don't want to call repair again but I am going to have to if I can't figure out what is going on myself.
