Kenmore Series 80 Heavy Duty Clothes Washing Machine.

by Jim Burchfielder
(Kingsport, TN)

Door lid interlock broken by heavey unbalanced overload. Kenmore Series 80 Heavy Duty Clothes Washing Machine. Machine is full of water in confined closet. Have removed retaining screws from switch and can see, with an inspection mirrow, that it appears to be broken. Sticking a scredriver through the small activation hole in door seat prior to takeing screws loose touched nothing. Can it be replaced without dipping out the water, pulling the machine from the closet and turning upside down?
