Kenmore Refrigerator 363.8791582 - Ice Maker

This icemaker will not fill with water. The water line is fine in that I can get water from the dispenser on the front of the refrigerator door.

The motor on the crusher feed runs - so the maker has power. I suspect the line has frozen possibly if the heater went out.

Do I need a new ice maker (and) is seems it installs with just 2 screws. Can it be easily removed and set in?

It is probably the solenoid valve that opens when the ice maker calls for water.

It also could be the circuit in the ice maker that is not calling for the solenoid valve to open.

A few tests with a volt/ohm meter will let you know if the water solenoid is good or bad.
