Kenmore Electric Stackable Dryer #417-84052500

This dryer's display lights come on at any time and a signal is sounded. I have repeatedly pushed the off button but in a few minutes (or seconds) the lights come on again and the signal sounds. The only way for me to stop this recurring problem is to shut the breaker for the dryer. It also does it for the washer but not as often. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
