Kenmore Electric Dryer - Model 110.96350100

Dryer turns on ok and dries clothes just fine but won't shutoff. In one of the settings the timer knob does turn until the end of that cycle but never shuts off. In another setting the timer knob never moves.

Does it sound like a bad timer? Could you suggest how to trouble shoot this.
