Hope this is not too late. I had the same problem. My dryer turned out to have the lint all jammed up down past the path where the trap went. We took it apart, removed all the jammed up lint , put it back together and it worked. Ours was a fire waiting to happen. A repair service actually advised us to try that to save the money on the service call.

The motor only takes 110 volts, the electric heat strips takes 220 volts. Your machine is probably working on two breakers that are not linked or connected together properly and one breaker tripped. This happened to me.
