How to Save Money with YOur Dishwasher

by John Grenier
(Atlanta, GA US)

I was cruising around the net becasue my wife is bugging me about cleaning the dishwasher. It seems my son has discovered permanent markes and the great small and how fun they are to draw on something. My son, Owen, decides then to give us an awesome gift on our white whirlpool dishwasher of an ecclectic and surreal hand-drawn picture of my dog Mugs. Needless to say the drawing was an abstract piece that took some study to understand, but more on the interpreatation later. Well I have tried Xylene, goo gone, tilex, 409, paint thinner and all I can do now is damage it further. So I cruised on the net to find a new dishwasher door. I came across a site called applianceart.com where they sell magnetic, static cling, and stickers for the fornt of a dishwasher that make it a photograph, or a differrnet color, or whatever and they are shipped to me for 45 bucks. I decided to call the company and emailed them a real picture of my dog Mugs and they were able to make me a custom one for no extra charge. Now my dishwasher is a great picture of my dog, the permanent marker is gone, and my son can draw on it all he wants (with DRY ERASE MARKERS) and everyone is happy. Anyways, I thought it was cool. www.applianceart.com
