Looking for a GE Dishwasher Part

GE DISHWASHER FAULT CODES - LATE 1990's and ONWARDS

CODE PF Power Failure Push. Cancel button to clear this code. If this code continues then do an electrical connection check to the dishwasher and also the electronic control module.

CODE C1 This usually indicates that there is a partially blocked drain line. The pumping cycle does not complete within the normal program time of about 95 seconds or less as debris blocks the water. Check the drain line for any blockages and clear them. If there are no blockages there may be a clogged drain valve inside the pump. This will require pump removal and cleaning.

CODE C2 This indicates that the drain line is completely clogged, and the pump out time will not complete within the maximum program time of 405 seconds. You should check the drain valve for blockages and also in pump. Also check the drain line for any blockages

CODE C3 This indicates that it will not progress into the drain cycle.

CODE C4 This indicates that there is a water over-fill fault. That means too much water has gone into the washer and water level is too high. You need to check for high water pressure to unit and this is not common. The usual fault is a faulty water inlet valve, and it may not be closed properly due to debris under the valve seat and water keeps running in and causing an overfill. CODE C5 This indicates a low water fill condition. You need to check for low water pressure to unit. This is usually caused by a clogged inlet water filter in the water supply line where installed and this screen is clogged with debris. The most common cause is a faulty water inlet valve as it doesn’t lift completely.

CODE C6 This indicates that the water temperature is too low after a nominal 20 minute period. If the water doesn’t get warm the heating element is probably faulty or the thermostat is faulty, partial warmth means the thermostat is okay. If there is no heat then the heating element may be faulty.

CODE C7 This indicates that the temperature sensor is faulty. You will have to replace the sensor, and this is located inside the door. You will have to remove the door panel to access.

CODE C8 This indicates that the detergent cup is clogged or blocked.
