electrical problem with kenmore washer

I have been having some electrical problems with my kenmore elite washer. It will not power up most of the time and when it does it keeps beeping for me to make a selection of "off, low or high" for end of cycle notification, however it will not allow me to press the button to make the selection. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in and there aren't any error codes.
