Dryer with Chipmunk Problem

I had a chipmunk in the venting tubing. The dryer stopped mid cycle and then I took apart the tubing and discovered the critter, everything else seemed fine. I put everything back togethor and when I push the Start button, it makes a loud noise but nothing happens. Any thoughts on what is wrong?
