Dryer repair needed

I have a Kenmore 90 Series dryer that no longer gets hot. The timer also does not move. If I set it for 20 minutes it stays at 20 minutes and continues to dry until I open the door of the dryer. Can you help with both of these problems before I call a serviceman?
