This of course saves on the back aches that some units can give. Does the machine have adjustable heads , are a great feature for varying carpet densities and pile heights and hard surfaces. Does the cleaner have variable suction and power settings area great feature. The control is usually wand mounted and makes control easy, in particular where you are cleaning curtains and furniture fabrics. What about the tools? There is a range of tools nozzles that help you reach had to get at place such as corners. The brush fittings allow easy cleaning of soft fabrics and curtains. Check they are part of the package or optional extras. Does the unit have a HEPA filter? This means a High Efficiency Particulate Air filtration filter. We have a lightweight Miele machine and my wife who isn’t very big can pull it around easily when cleaning. We also have a powerful Dyson, its way more effective but it’s harder to pull around.
