Best Toaster

THE BEST TOASTER

Toasters are indispensable to every modern kitchen and these small heaters are small electric appliances that have especially been designed to toast a slice of bread.

In the average toaster, to toast 2 slices of bread, the toaster will consume around 600 to 1200 watts of energy and will make the toast in about 2 to 3 minutes.

There are several different types of toasters including the classic pop up toaster which in turn can also be manual or automatic, these days they are mostly auto with a button for a manual release.

In these toasters the slice of bread needs to be inserted into the slot which is normally big enough to hold just 2 slices. But you should make sure you don't have to jam down the bread as its too thick or the edges are curled and touch the heating elements

The next step is to depress or push down the lever that is located on the side of the toaster which will activate the toaster and lower the bread slices. The slice of bread will be heated up to a point when the thermostat within the toaster determines that the slice of bread has been properly toasted, this is time based. The thermostat then turns off the toaster and the toasted slice of bread will be automatically popped out which is how it gets its name (pop up toaster).

Conveyor toasters are a second kind of toaster and these are designed especially to toast more than just a pair of slices of bread at a single go. Such toasters are mostly used by those who are involved in catering as they are an excellent means of toasting bread on a larger scale.

large commercial toasters can even toast as many as between 350 and 900 slices in a single hour and so are widely being used in large sized restaurants that always have a need to produce huge quantities of toast.

Today, the modern toaster is an advanced appliance that can even make use of computer controlled mechanisms that have replaced the traditional electromechanical thermostat type controls. Most toasters are freestanding while some are also counter top appliances; a few may be designed to be hung beneath a cabinet.

Before purchasing a toaster it is important to decide whether to go for a pop up toaster or a countertop toaster oven. The latter is able to provide additional functions. Next, be careful to evaluate your own cooking habits and also take into account the amount of money that you are willing to spend in buying such an appliance. If counter space is limited you will do well to go with a 2 slice toaster which is very compact. The best toaster is one that fits your toasting needs.
